  • Ethics | 2.0 CEUs
  • Culture Responsiveness | 4.0 CEUs

Supervision is critical to professional development. While college course work provides foundational knowledge for entry level professionals, the need for supervision to hone skills and further develop critical thinking in practice has been identified by many licensing bodies as essential to ensure their growth as a professional and to protect the public.

While the content of this course will provide knowledge and support to any of the helping professions engaged in supervision, this course is specifically designed to meet the Minnesota Board of Social Work requirements for licensing supervision. Participants will be exposed to current issues in supervision, best-practices and apply new knowledge to relevant case studies. This course is delivered in a blended model, including a 2 days in-person workshop and independent study work afterward.

Course Requirements:

Participants will attend sessions on two days to cover significant content related to supervision. The syllabus will be reviewed, and assignments/timelines clarified to participants. This will be followed by three weeks of independent study and assignment submissions due each Friday. To successfully complete this training a participant must complete all reading assignments and attend the two in-person sessions.
