Lessons Learned From Herding Cats, I Mean Social Workers!
Facilitated by Debra Kunkel

Herding cats, a scenario that would be a challenging task. Managing people, including social workers, can also be a challenging task. Cats are independent and do not like to be told what to do. Are these some of the traits of our best social work staff? We want social workers who are independent thinkers and doers. We look for social work staff who keep looking for resources and help for clients, even when they have been told no. This presentation will discuss some tips for leaders in the field of managing people, social workers and yes, even cats!

Welcome to the 2023 Supervision Webinars!

Supervision plays a key role in building the skills and effectiveness of professionals while also improving quality services for our clients. The importance of effective supervision was identified and validated by licensing boards, requiring supervisors to engage in continuing education specific to supervision topics. To support you in meeting these criteria, we have created a webinar series devoted to relevant topics and focused on building critical skills. Webinars will be held bimonthly on the second Tuesday of the month from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.

As a bonus, after you register for six webinars, you will receive a $20 coupon code to be used toward future programming, including online courses, conferences, and future webinars. If you sign up for a webinar and are unable to attend, all webinars will be recorded and posted into your account after the event (the online version is an independent study under the board’s guidelines and the certificate will reflect this).
