When we think of courageous leaders, we imagine a cape and a superhero who saves the dalefty with a superpower. In truth courageous leadership takes the ability to be vulnerable and speak your truth with integrity and courage. This presentation will explore the relationship between courageous leadership and the well-being and functioning of our teams. We will examine ways in which we can build our “courage” with skills employed through everyday interactions with others. Grounded in our values, we will explore how living courageously also impacts our wellness and fosters a sense of authenticity in our work.
OutcomesParticipants will be able to:
Identify what courageous leadership is and looks like in practice.
Explore the negative impacts when we don't practice courageous leadership.
Examine methods our agency culture can undermine our efforts for courageous leadership.
