K-12 Educators

Building skills for today's classrooms

Concordia's Education Department sets a high standard for excellence, not only for its faculty but for students in the program. Faculty nurture and mentor students through liberal arts experiences, preparing them with more than the skills needed to build a solid curriculum. We provide perspective and insight along with techniques and innovative methodology to ensure student success in today's classrooms.

As students transition from our classrooms to their own, we aim to provide consistent, high-quality continued education for all K-12 teachers. We offer practicing educators resources, training, events and connections to a peer community.

Licensure via Portfolio Modules

A two-part, self-paced program consisting of rich content, activities and supplemental materials aligned directly to K-12 teaching standards. Part One (modules 1-5) and Part Two (modules 6-10) provide students with critical knowledge and practical experience related to the essential components of highly effective teaching. The modules are self-paced and completed independently to advance professional growth.

Our program is meant to complement educator’s current knowledge and expertise and support their pursuit of alternative licensure via portfolio. Completing this program does not guarantee MN licensure. Educators must prepare and submit materials according to PELSB’s application process. Decisions on licensure are made solely at the discretion of PELSB.

Delivery | Online Asynchronous

Cost | Modules 1-5 and 6-10 are $125 each and available to purchase separately.
